Admittedly, I've only had 2 days of time out on that particular track (Driver's Edge event back in October, white 300ZXTT w/ SPL stickers on it if you were there), and most of the first day I was having to hot pit because I kept catching up to much slower traffic in my run group (blue). Second day I was typed and soloed into Yellow, which allowed me to spend more time attacking T1, but not like that! Generally, I'd 'straight line' brake up on the bank at the 1 marker, then bring the car down hard onto the infield.. then get back on the gas going to turn in. A couple times I just let off the gas then turned down the bank to the infield with more speed so I would do all my braking on the infield.. but I had a couple laps where the damn transmission wouldn't downshift so I'm left without full control of the car in neutral.. which obviously *sucks* going into T2. Better to just bring it all down up on the bank and make sure T2 is doable. Get the pucker factor down by magnitudes!! If I can get T1 squared away, from the turn in and out to T3 I'm getting all the car has to offer in T2, my typing instructor agreed. Hell of a rush!! I'm pulling 1.2+ lateral Gs in several places... I also like your line from T7 to T8. I tend to drift out a little further and square up the T8 to T9 straight. I don't think I have the tires to stay in tight like that and not have a sacrificial corner in there somewhere.
